Bhoo Mithra Sena Club in association with Thirumaradi Grama Panchayat organised a tree planting programme on 05-06-2014, the World Environment Day, in the College.  Sri. M.J Jacob Ex-MLA is the chief guest of the day and he   inaugurates the programme by planting a tree in the college premise (right)

About the Club
Bhoo Mithra Sena Club has been functioning in our college since June 1- 2011, with the financial support of the Directorate of Environment and Climate Change, Government of Kerala.
The club intends to:
 
1.      Create environmental awareness among members, non-members and the society.
2.      Develop environmental thinking through academic activities
3.      Foster decentralised environmental protection activities at the individual, household, and college levels.
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
4.      Promote self-work and self-learning
5.      Develop leadership quality among members.
6.      Shape the personality of members for a better future.
             
 
 
 
 
 
Activities
  1. Organises invited lectures on issues relating to sustainable development and Environment.  
  2. Working for a Waste Free Campus and proper disposal system for waste management.
  3. Maintaining and nurturing the College Garden with student participation.
  4. Discusses various environmental issues of current relevance in weekly meetings.
  5. Organizes writing competitions as part of observing world Environment Day, Ozone Day etc. 
  6. Maintains a Vegetable Garden in the College.
